The Catalyst for Fueling Nebraska’s Economic Success Through Black Women Entrepreneurs
An Entrepreneurial Landscape Analysis to Assess Gaps, Emerging Opportunities, and Pathways for Inclusive Growth
Black women entrepreneurs in Nebraska are building businesses that do far more than generate revenue. They create jobs, anchor neighborhoods, respond to unmet community needs, and build pathways to generational wealth in communities where structural barriers have long limited economic mobility. As this scan demonstrates, many are building and leading businesses without the entrepreneurial infrastructure they deserve.
This landscape scan commissioned by IBBG and prepared by Rogers Solutions Group synthesizes findings from original data collection activities conducted between January and February 2026.
The findings are combined with existing national and regional research to provide a grounded, community-informed picture of Nebraska’s entrepreneurial landscape for Black women business owners.
