ROOTED IN JUSTICE & JOY

This annual week-long observance, led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, raises awareness, advocates, and activates the community to improve maternal health outcomes for Black mothers.

This year’s theme, “Rooted in Justice & Joy,” celebrates the leadership and expertise of Black community-based organizations as the foundation for advancing equity and ensuring transformative, sustainable improvements in Black Maternal Health through Collective Action. Collective action is key to improving maternal health outcomes, and highlights the essential role of collaboration between Black-led organizations, advocates, and communities to shape policies and amplify solutions.
